David Reynolds Goldcroft Paedophile

David Reynolds - GoldcroftDavid Reynolds - Goldcroft

David Reynolds, a Goldcroft Paedophile sex offender from Yeovil, has been incarcerated for persistently violating a court order prohibiting him from contacting minors. David Reynolds, 35, fabricated his name and history to cultivate a friendship with a family that had children.

David Reynolds developed an obsession with a particular child, frequently visiting and purchasing gifts. No proof of inappropriate sexual conduct was found; however, his acts constituted a violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order mandated by the court after a conviction in 2014.

David Reynolds, of Goldcroft, Yeovil, Somerset, BA21, admitted a series of breaches, including having his photo taken with other children at an animal centre, and has been jailed for three years and nine months at Taunton Crown Court.

Judge Paul Cook said the offences started a month or so after a suspended sentence imposed for a previous breach ended. He befriended a family, lied about his name and told them ‘a fiction about your circumstances, background and prospects’.

He made regular visits to see the child and bought gifts. The judge said David Reynolds had used his time in custody since his arrest to reflect on his behaviour.

“This was a very serious and persistent breach against a backdrop of you lying about your name and identity,” he said. “It was predatory contact.”
