The Offender Database reported that David Duncan, the Dundee Paedophile Child Molester, 77, preyed upon children during sleepovers in Dundee, Angus, and Spain, and assaulted a four-year-old in a stationary vehicle outside a school.
A courtroom became chaotic during a prior hearing when irate viewers in the public gallery attempted to confront David Duncan, whose sentencing had been postponed for the preparation of a social work report.
Additional police officers were deployed for David Duncan’s sentence at Dundee Sheriff Court.
David Duncan, who has lately been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, refuted the sexual assault charges during an interview with social workers and previously informed the police that the claims were untrue.
However, he subsequently acknowledged claims of lascivious, indecent, and libidinous conduct perpetrated between 2007 and 2023.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael stated: Your maltreatment of these children entailed the recurrent contact with their intimate areas.
You have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, indicating that you are unfit for unpaid employment and participation in the sex offenders program.
Your sexual exploitation of these two girls while in a position of trust was of such gravity that only a jail sentence is warranted.
A jail sentence is the only appropriate response to the public’s disdain for such conduct.
Prosecutor Joanne Ritchie previously detailed how David Duncan’s initial victim frequently spent the night at his residence, sleeping on the sofa, where he would sexually assault her.
David Duncan would thereafter provide the girl with £10 and accompany her on a shopping excursion the next day.
The offences occurred at various locations, including Dundee, Fife, Forfar, and Salou, Spain, between 2007 and 2010.
The victim ultimately revealed the situation, and in 2015, David Duncan was interrogated by law enforcement but did not make any admissions.
From August 2021 until January 2023, he inserted his hand into the knickers of a girl, who was four years old at the time, while in a parked car outside a primary school in Dundee.
When interviewed by police, David Duncan said, “I never had any sexual contact.
I don’t know why she came away with that.”
David Duncan was sentenced to a total of 27 months in prison and placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years.
