A Beeston paedophile, Darren Colville, who inundated a young girl with anonymous letters for two years proposing sexual relations was apprehended after he mailed her pants, which had his saliva DNA.
Darren Colville’s saliva was discovered on the pants he sent to the youngster, which was intercepted by her distressed parents.
Darren Colville, aged 50, of Parkwood Road, Beeston, subsequently confessed to inducing or persuading a child to engage in sexual activity, causing a child to observe a sexual act, and engaging in sexual communication with a child.
He sentenced Darren Colville to 45 months of incarceration, imposed a lifelong sexual harm prevention order, and registered him as a sex offender.
A life-long restraining order was also issued to prohibit any future contact with the girl.
