The Colne Paedophile depicted is Danny Dunne, and he is a paedophile. Dunne perpetrated multiple sexual offences against a minor in Pendle between 2009 to 2019.
Following a period of silent suffering, the courageous victim reported Danny Dunne’s actions to the authorities in June 2024.
Danny Dunne, 28, of Glen Street, Colne, was addressed on his offences and acknowledged their veracity.
Earlier this year, he appeared in the dock at Preston Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to several charges, including rape, attempted rape, sexual assault, and persuading a child to engage in sexual activity.
Danny Dunne returned to the same court today (22nd August), where he received a sentence totalling nearly 17 years. He received a prison sentence of 10 years and eight months, along with an extended licence period of seven years. He was mandated to register on the Sex Offenders Register for life and placed under an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
