The victim of a violent and sexual assault by Danny Bailey, a Strood Rapist and Sex Offender, has witnessed her assailant sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Danny Bailey unlawfully entered the victim’s residence in Rochester during the early hours of 28 June 2024.
The woman answered the door, assuming it was a neighbour, but Danny Bailey forcibly forced her back inside and issued death threats.
He subsequently raped the woman and physically beat her, resulting in lacerations on her mouth and abrasions on her neck.
The victim successfully escaped and secured herself in an upper bedroom, where her screams were audible to a neighbour who subsequently contacted the police.
Danny Bailey absconded before the cops’ arrival but was apprehended shortly thereafter at his residence on Brompton Lane, Strood.
He asserted that he had remained there throughout the night, observing television.
The 42-year-old, Danny Bailey, was convicted of rape, intentional strangulation, threats to kill, and serious bodily harm after a trial.
On Thursday, 23 October 2025, in Maidstone Crown Court, Danny Bailey received a 12-year prison sentence accompanied by an extended licence period of two years.
