A comprehensive inquiry by police has resulted in Daniel John Hart, the Poole Rapist and Sex Offender, being incarcerated for the sexual assault of two women in Poole.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, at around 5:15 AM, cops responded to complaints of a woman in her 70s, who has dementia, having been raped at her residence.
An unidentified male reportedly entered her residence during the night and forcibly took her into the bedroom, where he assaulted her sexually.
Investigations were conducted, resulting in the identification of 29-year-old Daniel John Hart, of no permanent residence, as a suspect, who was connected to the crime through DNA evidence.
Later that day, just before 2 PM, Dorset Police were informed that a woman in her 40s from Poole had been accosted by a man, Daniel John Hart, outside her flat, who subsequently raped her within the premises.
Shortly thereafter, cops responded to a report of an altercation in the vicinity and, upon arrival, pursued a guy fleeing the scene.
The man was tracked to the residence of the second victim, where he entered the premises through the lounge window.
Daniel John Hart was apprehended at the location and was identified by the victim—a vulnerable woman with disabilities—as the individual who had assaulted her.
Daniel John Hart was subsequently indicted for the sexual assault of both women and entered guilty pleas in court. He was present at Bournemouth Crown Court on Monday, 3 November 2025, where he received a 20-year prison sentence.
