In 2023, Daniel Boyd, the Bromley Paedophile, was apprehended after he coordinated a meeting with a 14-year-old girl for sexual purposes mere meters from a police station.

Daniel Boyd, 31, transmitted grooming messages and explicit photographs to the minor before coordinating a meeting for sexual intercourse.

Upon arriving at Bromley South Station equipped with condoms and lubricant, he encountered paedophile hunters who operated the fake account he had been communicating with.

Daniel Boyd, from Dagonet Gardens in Bromley, appeared at Woolwich Crown Court on Friday, November 3, after pleading guilty to meeting a girl following grooming, engaging in sexual communication with a minor, and attempting to induce a child to view a photograph of his penis.

He received a one-year prison term, suspended for two years, indicating he will not serve time unless he reoffends.

The case facts were presented to the court.

On July 7, he initiated a Facebook discussion with an individual who seemed to be a little girl, stating, “Hey.”

The girl stated that she was 14 years old, and Daniel Boyd informed her that he was 31.

Daniel Boyd transmitted three images of his genitalia to her, requested that she submit explicit photographs of herself, and scheduled a meeting at Bromley South Station on July 18.

Daniel Boyd explicitly stated that the purpose of the meeting was sexual and instructed her to reserve a hotel room, as he lacked the financial means to do so himself.

Upon being challenged by paedophile hunters, Daniel Boyd remarked, “This was foolish of me,” and implored, “I do not wish to be incarcerated.”

By 8:40 PM, he was in police handcuffs.

Tihomir Mak, in defending his client in court, asserted that Daniel Boyd was sincerely regretful and had no prior legal issues.

He stated that Daniel Boyd’s challenging upbringing in Jamaica and inadequate mental health had played a role in his criminal behaviour.

During the sentencing of Daniel Boyd, Recorder Joshua Swirsky stated: “You are a man in your 30s who intended to engage in sexual activity with a 14-year-old child.”

“Such behaviour is denounced by the majority of society and, in my opinion, constitutes egregious criminal conduct.”

Recorder Swirsky determined that the most effective means of safeguarding the public from Daniel Boyd was to mandate his participation in rehabilitative services to avert future offences and to delay his prison sentence.

“It is evident that to safeguard society, intervention is necessary to assist you in modifying your behaviour and to prevent the recurrence of this conduct,” he stated.

Daniel Boyd was mandated to participate in a 60-day intervention program, complete 45 days of rehabilitation, and perform 150 hours of community service.

Daniel Boyd will be required to register as a sex offender for a duration of 10 years.
