The Offender Database has reported the arrest and sentencing of Damian Griskevicius, also known as Damo, of Truro, Cornwall, following a covert operation by the paedophile hunter group Innocent Voices. Griskevicius was caught on 23 March 2024 after engaging in a series of vile sexual communications with an individual he believed was a 13-year-old girl.
The investigation revealed that Griskevicius heavily groomed the child decoy, dishonestly portraying himself as a romantic partner. During their interactions, he callously asked for indecent images and discussed plans to meet her, even expressing a desire to marry the young girl.
Police Response and Arrest
Devon and Cornwall Police provided a rapid and professional response to the incident. In a notable turn of events, the arresting officers were from the same unit that had spoken to the hunter group earlier that day. While the officers initially thought the group’s vehicle had broken down, their instincts led them to suspect something more serious was occurring.
The officers’ intuition proved correct when they returned to find the sting operation in progress. Griskevicius was promptly arrested in Truro, Cornwall, and taken into custody to face charges related to the sexual exploitation of a minor.
