A Mosside child killer, father, Christopher Fulton, who inflicted serious and permanent injuries on his four-week-old baby during a vicious assault, resulting in blindness and brain damage, has faced bullying and violence in prison following the revelation of his crimes.
In April of this year, Christopher Fulton, 35, from Rockfield Gardens in Mosside near Ballymoney, County Antrim, was sentenced to 22 years after being convicted of grievous bodily injury with intent and two charges of child abuse.
During the trial last year, Newry Crown Court was informed that upon the newborn’s admission to the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children, medical professionals discovered a fractured skull, intracranial and retinal haemorrhaging, a laceration to the liver, nearly 30 rib fractures, and bilateral fractures in both legs.
The six-year-old youngster currently endures severe dystonic cerebral palsy, is functionally blind, possesses an intellectual handicap, experiences seizures, can only communicate by sobbing, and cannot be consoled when he cries. He is nourished via a feeding tube and has a life-limiting ailment.
The court was informed that his injuries were so serious that they were compared to those sustained in a high-speed automobile collision.
According to our source, since Christopher Fulton’s identity and offences were revealed in prison, nearly all other inmates have spat at or mocked him. He resides in a tormenting environment and spends the majority of his nights weeping in his confinement owing to incessant harassment.
Christopher Fulton has been assaulted and implores the guards for protection. Even sex offenders hold him in contempt.
