A Truro Rapist, Christopher Diamond, has been incarcerated for sexually assaulting a lady he encountered after a night out in Truro.

Christopher Diamond, 48, of Truro, was sentenced at Truro Crown Court on Friday, August 8, following his conviction for rape at trial.

Christopher Diamond was sentenced to seven years in prison and now required to register as a sex offender.

During the trial, the jury was informed that on Saturday, May 18, 2022, Christopher Diamond encountered the victim in a pub. The two frequented several restaurants, with Christopher Diamond purchasing most of her beverages.

At the conclusion of the evening, the victim expressed her discomfort, prompting the two to depart the city centre and proceed to her residence. She confided in Christopher Diamond her concerns regarding her medication, and it was decided that he would accompany her home.

Upon entering the premises, the victim feeling unwell and hurried to the loo. Subsequently, while she was either unconscious or in a state of slumber, Christopher Diamond sexually assaulted her.
