The investigation centres on a vile and predatory incident that occurred at approximately 3:40 pm on Wednesday, 22 October 2025. A woman was sexually assaulted by a man who sat next to her while she was travelling on a tram service between West Croydon and Blackhorse Lane tram stop, Croydon.

The British Transport Police have reported that the suspect’s vicious behaviour took place in the middle of the afternoon on a busy public transport route. Detectives are utilising forensic and digital evidence to identify the individual responsible for this vile sexual crime.

Officers believe the man pictured in the released CCTV images may have information that is vital to the investigation. The BTP is working closely with Transport for London (TfL) to review security footage from both the tram and the station platforms along the route.
