The Offender Database reported that Carlo Di Tella, the St Leonards Rapist and Sex Offender, a man, is scheduled for sentencing after being convicted of two charges of rape in Sussex.
Carlo Di Tella, 46, faced trial for the alleged rapes of a lady with whom he was acquainted in St Leonards.
The victim, whose identity is protected for legal reasons, received assistance from specialised officers.
She has received commendation for her valour and fortitude throughout the trial proceedings at Lewes Crown Court.
The court was informed that Carlo Di Tella had preyed upon the victim while she was asleep.
The incidents occurred in January 2023, and the victim reported her experience to the law enforcement authorities.
Investigating officer PC Sally Smith stated: “The jury arrived at a unanimous verdict within two hours on October 27.”
Carlo Di Tella, previously of Bohemia Road, St Leonards, has been remanded in custody and is scheduled for sentencing on 16 January of the following year.
