An 87-year-old man, Brian Taylor Shale, is on trial for a series of sexual offences occurring over more than forty years. Brian Taylor Shale of Pond Lane, Lower Holton, Halesworth appeared before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday.
Brian Taylor Shale has entered a plea of not guilty to three counts of indecent assault from 1977 concerning one claimed victim, as well as three counts of oral rape of a child under 13 and charges of forcing or persuading a child to engage in sexual conduct between 2007 and 2014 related to another alleged victim.
A jury was convened on Monday.
The trial is anticipated to commence on Tuesday.
