Brian Jones, a 64-year-old Bordon Paedophile has received a 16-month prison term, suspended for two years, after an inquiry by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

Brian Jones, alternatively referred to as Bryan Jones, residing on Southview Road, Headley Down, Bordon, presented himself before Lewes Crown Court today (20/9).

Brian Jones is required to complete a rehabilitation program and will be under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

At a previous hearing, Brian Jones pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to meet a boy under 16 following sexual grooming and two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child.

In August this year, Brian Jones travelled to Horsham, Sussex to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old child after making arrangements online. Instead, he was met by SEROCU officers. The arrest was supported by officers from Sussex Police.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Andy Hedley, of SEROCU, said: “SEROCU remains dedicated to making sure that anyone who is prepared to commit sexual offences against children is brought to justice.

“Today Brian Jones has been sentenced and will be made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order as an additional measure to protect the public.”
