The Offender Database reported that Bradley Green, the Weston Rapist Domestic Abuser, a 28-year-old man, has received a 27-month prison sentence for many offences against a woman.

Bradley Green, previously residing on Cucumber Lane in Weston, Suffolk, near Beccles, was sentenced at Ipswich Crown Court on Wednesday, December 3, after admitting guilt to the following charges at a prior hearing:

  • two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm
  • intentional strangulation
  • controlling or coercive behaviour
  • harassment causing fear of violence

The offences were committed against one woman.

Bradley Green was also charged with rape, but this was included in a plea deal, which did not mention the rape offence.

The court was informed that Bradley Green exhibited obsessive and controlling behaviour, including the use of tracking applications to monitor the victim’s whereabouts and confronting her when the app was disabled or if she was in an unexpected area.

He would confront her over male acquaintances on social media, insist that she remove them, and frequently scrutinise her phone.

Bradley Green acknowledged perpetrating violence on the victim, including spitting, strangling, and inflicting actual bodily harm. He also vandalised her property and incessantly contacted her through calls and text messages to solicit her attention, threatening self-harm if she did not respond.

The victim’s personal statement was read out in court. In it, she wrote: “I remember a time when I was the one on the other side saying, ‘Why don’t you just leave?’. However, the reality is that when you put so much love and trust in someone, it feels impossible to leave.

And by the time that trust is broken and you’re ready to leave, it’s not safe to…

“’ Maybe this time he’ll change’ ‘it’s just been a bad week’ .. by the time I wanted out, I couldn’t. How can you go out when you know he’ll show up?”

Bradley Green first contested the charges, asserting that he was a victim of abuse, but subsequently altered his plea and received a term of 27 months’ jail. He was also subjected to a restraining order.
