A Cambridge Paedophile sex offender, Billy Ingram, who molested two youngsters and coerced a third into transmitting an indecent image has been sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Billy Ingram, 31, established friendships with families in Cambridge prior to gaining unsupervised access to their children.

In August 2022, Billy Ingram, a documented sex offender, observed a woman he recognised accompanying her children. He initiated a conversation with her and accompanied her to her residence.

The woman permitted him entry to her land, and they conversed until the early hours of the morning when she succumbed to sleep.

The following morning, Billy Ingram sat by the woman’s young kid and permitted the boy to use his mobile phone before perpetrating sexual abuse against him.

Several weeks later, the child informed his mother of the incident, resulting in Ingram’s arrest.

The ensuing inquiry revealed that Billy Ingram had cultivated friendships with other families in Cambridge and had gained unsupervised access to their children.

This unsupervised access was a violation of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order issued to him in 2017 during a distinct inquiry.

Officers examined two mobile phones belonging to Billy Ingram and discovered several indecent photographs and videos of youngsters, along with other illicit content indicating a sexual attraction to juveniles.

The information contained video evidence of Ingram sexually assaulting a minor. Officers successfully identified the boy and visited his residence in the Greater Manchester region, where it was verified that Billy Ingram had been present at the location when the films were filmed.

Officers attended the residence of another kid in West Mercia who was similarly identified from the content.

The youngster recounted that Billy Ingram had reached out to him online using a computer game in 2020, when he was 10 years old, and convinced him to transmit an inappropriate image of himself.

Billy Ingram, residing at Ongar Court, Cambridge, confessed to two charges of sexually assaulting a kid under 13 through touching, four charges of possessing indecent photos of minors, one charge of forcing or persuading a boy under 13 to participate in sexual conduct, and four violations of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

On 22 July, Billy Ingram was sentenced to 18 years in prison at Cambridge Crown Court, with an additional eight years on licence. He was additionally issued a lifetime Sexual Harm Prevention Order.
