Athavan Kugathas, originally from Sri Lanka with a very strong Northern accent, first came to our attention from this Banbury Police appeal back in 2016. He was identified, arrested, charged, and sentenced for the offence of sexual assault but there is no open information available after the charge. He has ties to Banbury, Leamington Spa, Birmingham, Bolton, Keele, Cumbria and London.
Athavan Kugathas, aka “Athas” has a long record of alleged sexual assaults but not many convictions. He allegedly looks for vulnerable girls who he can easily control and sexually assault because they are much less likely to report the rape. He is also alleged to offer a financial incentive to attract vulnerable teenagers by offering work to them using various manipulative techniques.
Recently based in Birmingham, Athavan Kugathas has kept himself busy by working in a construction office and is now facing a new allegation of sexual assault.
