A Chesterfield tattoo artist sex offender, Ashley Lilleyman, who sexually assaulted over seven female clients has been incarcerated.
Ashley Lilleyman consistently perpetrated sexual assaults on his victims during tattoo sessions.
The perpetrator targeted multiple clients, with eight individuals stepping forward to assist law enforcement in apprehending him.
Several of his victims were subjected to repeated assaults during scheduled consultations from January 2022 to July 2024.
Ashley Lilleyman commenced the tattoos in a conventional manner prior to assaulting his victims, either at a Mansfield shop where he was employed or at his home studio.
A woman seeking a stomach tattoo altered her decision during the session due to the artist’s conduct and requested the tattoo be placed on her arm instead, in an effort to deter the 30-year-old’s unwelcome advances.
Ashley Lilleyman’s numerous offences began to surface after one of his victims disclosed her experience to a family member, who subsequently contacted the authorities.
Appalled by Ashley Lilleyman’s conduct, his previous employers at the Mansfield store promptly terminated his employment upon discovering his transgressions.
Following the initiation of an inquiry by detectives, seven additional women recounted their experiences of abuse perpetrated by the tattoo artist over a span of two and a half years.
Their determination to disclose information, along with the support of the tattoo establishment that had formerly hired Ashley Lilleyman, contributed to the formulation of a robust case against him.
In light of this evidence, the tattooist had no alternative but to ultimately plead guilty to all 14 distinct counts of sexual assault with which he had been charged.
Ashley Lilleyman, of Hucklow Avenue, Chesterfield, was sentenced to six years and four months in prison during an appearance at Nottingham Crown Court earlier today (22 August).
He was also told that, due to him being a “dangerous offender”, he will serve three years on extended licence when he’s released.
Ashley Lilleyman was additionally made subject of a sexual harm prevention order and a restraining order preventing him from contacting any of his victims. These will all run for the next ten years.
