In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Ashley Allan, a Scotland Paedophile Child Molester, who was prematurely released from incarceration, groomed another girl online and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
Ashley Allan’s recent actions closely resembled those for which he was initially incarcerated.
In April 2016, he was incarcerated for coercing females as young as 13 to transmit indecent pictures.
He was initially incarcerated for two years and seven months; however, Ashley Allan, defined as a “dangerous, predatory individual,” was freed at the midpoint of that sentence in the summer of 2017.
Fewer than twelve months later – while still under supervision – he returned on Snapchat, attempting to engage a 14-year-old by asserting he was merely 15.
He subsequently “extorted” nude photographs from her and sent a message threatening to distribute them to her acquaintances.
Law enforcement was summoned following the discovery of the messages by one of the girl’s educators.
Fiscal depute Stewart Duncan informed Dundee Sheriff Court that Ashley Allan feigned residence at a school in proximity to the girl’s home.
He said: “He asked her for pictures, not wearing clothes.
“She said no, but he persisted and threatened to spread rumours if she didn’t do it.
“She later received texts informing her that some of her friends were in contact with the accused and wanted to see the photos.
“A teacher at her school was made aware of the text messages, and police were subsequently called.”
Police invaded Allan’s residence, apprehending him as he attempted to flee through a window.
They subsequently discovered a disturbing collection of child abuse photographs systematically arranged in folders on his mobile phone, comprising over 30 hours of abhorrent recordings, some depicting extreme acts of depravity involving the sexual assault of minors.
Ashley Allan, then 27, an inmate at HMP Perth, admitted guilt to one charge under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act and a second charge of possessing indecent pictures of children. The incidents occurred between April 24 and May 1 of the previous year at Allan’s residence in Montrose, Angus.
Sheriff Alastair Brown remarked, “He could refrain from doing it.” He manipulated her and exerted pressure on her; such actions are neither accidental nor inadvertent.
Mr Bruce stated, “He fully comprehends that a custodial sentence is unavoidable due to these offences.”
Sheriff Alastair Brown reinstated Allan’s imprisonment for the remaining six months of his initial sentence and added a three-year term to be served concurrently.
He additionally enrolled Ashley Allan on the lifelong sex offenders registry.
