A Greenwich paedophile Artur Seberger who exploited youngsters as young as 10 years old has been incarcerated. Artur Seberger, a former resident of Greenwich, was sentenced to 12 and a half years in prison for his systematic abuse of two children.

From 2005 until 2022, the 53-year-old perpetrated abuse against two youngsters, aged 10 to 16, with whom he was acquainted.

In July 2024, the two victims reported to the police, leading to Artur Seberger’s arrest on July 9.

On July 22, he was re-arrested for violating his release conditions and pestering the victims.

At Woolwich Crown Court, Artur Seberger admitted guilt to 15 charges of causing or persuading a child to participate in sexual conduct, engaging in sexual activity with a child, attempting to perpetrate assault by penetration, and forcing a child to observe a sexual act.

He was sentenced on Wednesday, January 22.

Detective Constable Callum Boast, in the Met’s Public Protection South East team, said: “I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the victims in this case, who have been extremely courageous in coming forward to police and recounting the trauma of the years of abuse they suffered because of Artur Seberger.

“Officers acted quickly following the victims serious reports, and following Artur Seberger breaching his conditions were able to remand him in prison offering additional protection to his victims.

“Over six months the team compiled numerous witness statements and third party evidence to create a compelling case which prompted the defendant to plead guilty avoiding a trial.

“It cannot be underestimated the impact, both physical and mental, such sustained abuse will have had on the victims, and I hope the sentence will give them some sense of closure and peace.”
