The Offender Database reported that Amanda Thomson, the Bathgate Child and Animal Abuser, repeatedly attacked a child by repeatedly hitting them on the head, seizing them by the neck and restricting their breathing until they passed out.
Amanda Thomson forced the child to sit on the floor to eat their meals, and on one occasion, she threw cutlery at the child, which resulted in a knife striking them and sticking in their neck.
She abused one terrified child by tying them up with a dressing gown cord and gagging them with a piece of clothing to muffle their screams.
Then she made the child sit near a boiling hot radiator, deprived them of food and failed to provide medical attention to injuries to their head, neck and hands from beatings and burns.
Amanda Thomson was tasked with looking after the children with her lover at addresses in Bathgate and Livingston between October 2015 and April 2021.
Amanda Thomson, from Bathgate, denied the allegations but was found guilty by a jury following a four-day trial at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last month.
Thomson was sentenced to 30 months in custody and imposed non-harassment orders banning any contact with their victims for five years.
