A Sandbach Child and Animal Abuser, Alicia Darcy, who viciously murdered her son’s dog with a Samurai sword and subsequently fabricated a story that it had assaulted her, has been incarcerated.
The Staffordshire crucifix was found with the weapon embedded in its body following the “abhorrent” act of cruelty.
Alicia Darcy, 54, perpetrated the abhorrent assault when the animal was in a state of slumber.
At Chester Crown Court, she confessed to inflicting unnecessary pain on an animal and possessing an offensive weapon in a private location.
Alicia Darcy was sentenced to 18 months in prison and handed a disqualification order barring her from any engagement with animals.
The Samurai sword was seized for annihilation.
The court was notified that on 12th October 2024, Alicia Darcy, inebriated, contacted the police to say that her son’s dog had assaulted her and that she had subsequently murdered it.
Officers arrived at the location to find a dog reclining on the sofa in a supine posture, with a samurai sword penetrating its torso.
Alicia Darcy, residing on Platt Avenue in Sandbach, Cheshire, admitted to the police that she stabbed the dog as it was reclining on the couch.
PC Charlotte Owen remarked, “This was an exceedingly distressing case for all parties involved.” The degree of cruelty was reprehensible.
She abandoned the dog with the sword impaled in it. It is unfathomable how someone could not only perpetrate such brutality against an animal but also exhibit such indifference by abandoning it to endure suffering.
