A second individual, Alexandru Lache, the Kirkcaldy Rapist, has been incarcerated for sexually assaulting a teenager who was trafficked from Romania to a flat in Kirkcaldy for the purpose of coerced prostitution.
Alexandru Lache has ultimately been held accountable nearly six years after instilling fear in a vulnerable teenage girl at a Pratt Street flat.
Alexandru Lache’s co-defendant, Octav-George Dimitru, was convicted and incarcerated last year for the egregious assault on the then-teenager.
The woman, currently in her early 20s, cannot be recognised for legal reasons and is residing outside Scotland.
Alexandru Lache will be deported upon completion of his three-year prison sentence, as verified by his lawyers.
