A Paedophile British Army sapper from Moray, Alex Tunnicliffe, has confessed to attempting to engage in inappropriate communication with a minor.

Alex Tunnicliffe confessed to two sexual crimes, resulting in his inclusion on the sex offenders register.

The 34-year-old Royal Engineers sapper, Alex Tunnicliffe, stationed at Kinloss is at risk of being discharged from the Army.

Sheriff More enrolled him on the sex offenders register for a duration of 12 months.

Alex Tunnicliffe will be placed under a supervision order for the same duration and is required to complete 160 hours of community service.

An Army spokeswoman refrained from elucidating Alex Tunnicliffe’s present standing within the Army; nonetheless, it is thought that individuals convicted of a sexual offence are likely to be expelled from the Armed Forces.
