Alan Robert Webster, the Hatfield Paedophile, is a notorious English inmate who admitted guilt to many charges of rape involving a 12-week-old infant and the creation of indecent photographs in January 2006.
The girl was under the care of his girlfriend, Tanya Louise French, who also admitted guilt to crimes associated with the assault.
Alan Robert Webster additionally confessed to the sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl and the possession of child pornography.
Alan Robert Webster received a life sentence with a minimum duration of six years.
The Court of Appeal elevated this to eight years on 8 June 2006. Lord Chief Justice, Lord Phillips, expressed in his ruling scepticism over the Parole Board’s consideration of Alan Robert Webster’s release due to the “depravity” of the crime.
Tanya Louise French was incarcerated for five years at HM Prison New Hall in Flockton, West Yorkshire, and has since been released.
Judge Findlay Baker remarked on the case, “No words can adequately convey the abhorrence elicited by such offences.”
