Saif Alikhan Hussain, a Newport Rapist, who assaulted a lady while her little daughter was upstairs, has been incarcerated.
Saif Alikhan Hussain unlawfully entered his victim’s residence and “imposed an intolerable degree of humiliation” upon her, according to Gwent Police.
The 30-year-old defendant, Saif Alikhan Hussain, was found guilty after trial of one count of rape and one count of assault by penetration.
He attended Cardiff Crown Court on November 4, 2022, for sentence and received a total prison term of nine years for his offences.
Saif Alikhan Hussain, residing on High Cross Road in Rogerstone, received a 10-year restraining order and will be permanently listed on the sex offenders’ registry.
A Gwent Police spokesman stated that Saif Alikhan Hussain had exhibited “no empathy or remorse” for the acts.
“Saif Alikhan Hussain’s actions have inflicted significant and enduring suffering on the victim, exacerbated by the trauma of a protracted trial,” stated Emily Harris, the lead investigator on the case.
“His conduct has negatively affected the lives of the victim’s little daughter, who courageously testified in this case.
On the night of the occurrence, Saif Alikhan Hussain unlawfully entered the victim’s residence and, aware of a child present upstairs, subjected the victim to an unacceptable degree of humiliation while perpetrating these crimes.
“Upon hearing this, the child became so distressed that she called her family for assistance, who promptly contacted the police.”
She stated: “Saif Alikhan Hussain has consistently denied accountability for his actions and has exhibited a complete lack of empathy or remorse during this process.”
“I commend the steadfast bravery of the victim and her daughter during this ordeal and hope that this sentence enables them to progress in their lives and offers the closure they have urgently sought.”
