Nathan Gordon, Hornsey Sex Offender, a 46-year-old guy, perpetrated a sexual assault on a solitary woman at a London Underground station and subsequently spat at a police officer. The incident occurred on May 24 of the previous year at Seven Sisters Tube station, where Nathan Gordon, residing on Wightman Road, Hornsey, was subsequently apprehended reclining on a bench at the same station following the assault.
Following the event, he was reported to a station staff member who confronted him prior to his departure from the station. Subsequently, officers were notified of the suspect reclining on a bench at the station, who was recognised by personnel as the same individual.
Officers identified Nathan Gordon from an incident in March 2023, during which he was apprehended for a different offence and spat at an officer while in custody.
Investigating officer DC Stephen Allen stated: “Nathan Gordon’s overt intimidation and harassment of this woman was both distressing and abhorrent.” Her courageous decision to report the crime promptly, despite her understandable distress, enabled officers to arrive at the scene and apprehend Nathan Gordon within hours of the offence.
He has now been handed a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO), which will partially safeguard women on the rail network upon his release from incarceration.
“We will relentlessly deter, pursue, apprehend, and bring sex offenders on the railway network to justice.” Each report holds significance.
