Lee Parish, the Cottenham Paedophile, who sexually assaulted a teenage girl over a six-month duration nearly 17 years ago, has been incarcerated.
Lee Parish, then 40, of Coolidge Gardens in Cottenham, perpetrated an assault on the woman between October 2005 and April 2006 after relocating to her family’s residence in Cambridge after a prior incarceration.
After a dispute with a family member, he was instructed to sleep in the victim’s bedroom, where Lee Parish subsequently assaulted and exposed himself to her for the first time.
Additional incidents occurred in which a family member discovered Lee Parish kissing the girl on a sofa, as well as another instance involving sexual activity with her in his car at a remote location and at a friend’s residence.
Lee Parish instructed her to withhold information from her mother, manipulated her by placing £10 notes on her pillow and provided transportation in his vehicle to attempt to sever her ties with her family.
A police investigation commenced in early 2019 after the victim chose to disclose the incident, having felt unable to process her experiences from childhood.
On Monday (September 5), Lee Parish was sentenced to four years in prison at Cambridge Crown Court after being convicted by a jury on three counts of engaging in sexual behaviour with a girl aged between 13 and 15.
Lee Parish was additionally issued a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.
