Following the sentencing of Ference Bogdan, the Fartown Sex Offender, for sexual assault, the police are urging burglary victims in Huddersfield who have not yet reached out to them to do so.

Kirklees District Police has made an appeal subsequent to the sentencing of Ference Bogdan, 33, of Pollard Street, Fartown, last week.

Ference Bogdan was sentenced to 16 years and 10 months in prison at Leeds Crown Court on November 6 for sexual assault and burglary offences occurring in Huddersfield in 2023 and 2024.

Detectives have characterised him as a significant threat to women, noting that Ference Bogdan exhibited a specific inclination for pilfering personal belongings from his victims.

The 33-year-old received a sentence for six offences, including a sexual assault against a woman inside a residence he unlawfully entered in Huddersfield on 28 September 2024.

He was additionally convicted of trespassing with the intent to conduct a sexual offence and burglary in the incident, during which he fled the premises after the victim resisted.

Ference Bogdan was convicted for crimes committed at an address on Ashbrow Road in Huddersfield on November 1, 2023, involving a burglary and the theft of personal belongings.

He subsequently trespassed at the same location on 24 November 2023, with the intent to perpetrate a sexual crime.

Ference Bogdan confessed to an additional crime in September 2024, wherein he unlawfully entered a residence on Ridding Road and purloined adult sex items.

Ference Bogdan was apprehended shortly after the offence on 28 September and summoned to appear before Leeds Magistrates’ Court two days later.
