Emmanuel Mukum Maleh, the Christchurch Rapist and Carer, was incarcerated for sexual assault and rape. The victim has demonstrated significant bravery in reporting a rape that transpired at a location in Christchurch.
The incident transpired on the evening of Sunday, March 3, 2024, at a residence in the Highcliffe vicinity. The victim, a lady in her thirties, had corresponded with the defendant through a dating application weeks before their social encounter. Subsequently, they returned to his residence, where he assaulted her sexually, then raped her.
The victim reported the event the following day. Detectives initiated an investigation, leading to the defendant’s arrest and subsequent charges.
Emmanuel Mukum Maleh, 28, from Christchurch and employed as a care worker, was sentenced at Bournemouth Crown Court on Friday, 19 September 2025, after a jury found him guilty in a prior trial at the same court.
Emmanuel Mukum Maleh was incarcerated for five years.
