In 2019, the Offender Database reported that Ashleigh Pell, a Skipton Paedophile Child Molester, received an 18-year prison sentence following his conviction for rape and indecent abuse of his daughter.

The incidents occurred throughout the 1980s and early 1990s, when the victim was between 12 and 14 years of age.

Ashleigh Pell, then 66, of Pine Close, Skipton, North Yorkshire, was sentenced to 18 years in prison at Bradford Crown Court.

The victim is Rebecca Pell, currently 49 years old, his daughter, who initially reached out to North Yorkshire Police via email in 2017. After the trial, she has courageously relinquished her right to secrecy.

During Ashleigh Pell’s sentencing, the judge praised Rebecca for her bravery and fortitude in reporting the incident to law enforcement and providing testimony in court.

Almost 20% of all child sexual abuse in the UK is carried out by a blood relative (usually father or brother), but reporting restrictions mean that the paedophile cannot be identified to protect the identity of the children.
