Steven Moore, an East Malling Rapist and Sex Offender, has been incarcerated after being convicted of raping a lady who had lost consciousness after a night at a pub.
Steven Moore used and abused his vulnerable victim after departing the premises and transporting her to a neighbouring home property.
The crime occurred in 2017 and was reported to Kent Police in March 2023, at which time Steven Moore was apprehended.
An inquiry determined that before the assault, the woman had conversed casually with Steven Moore, who was familiar with an acquaintance of hers.
On an occasion between November and December 2017, the victim met him at the defunct Rising Sun tavern on Mill Street.
They ingested multiple beverages, resulting in her intoxication and disorientation.
The woman recounted that after escorting Moore to another location, she lost consciousness and then awoke to discover him assaulting her.
Steven Moore, aged 67, of Stickens Lane, East Malling, was charged with rape and entered a plea of not guilty.
A trial took place in Maidstone Crown Court, where a jury rendered a unanimous verdict of conviction.
On 7 November 2025, Steven Moore received a nine-year prison sentence.
